How to get someone to stop texting while driving
1.) Tell the driver texting "I'm sorry but your really making me nervous when you text and drive can you please stop and put the phone down
2.) If you don't feel comfortable telling the drive step 1 then give them hint like "would you like me to text for you since your driving?" if you know the person the driver is texting, ask the driver to hand over the phone so you can say something then send a message saying "driving right now, talk to you later"
3.) Point bad drivers so your driver will focus on the surrounding rather then the sceen
4.) If the whole group thionks a driver texting is a danger come up with a plan together. Take away the driver's car keys, then if seven people boycott a driver, he or she will get the message.
5.) If someone continues to text and drive or mock you for worrying about it, avoid riding with that person let them know your not riding with them anymore and if you don't feel comfortable saying that say "My dad said i can't ride with you because he says you text and drive"
If a driver absolutely won't stop texting or laughs at you for being nervous, don't argue. The last thing anyone needs is a road-raging, texting driver. Get out the car as soon as you can. Next time that driver offers to give you a ride, say, "no, thanks."
